Laney has got to be some of the best writing material that I have…I mean really…if it wasn’t for her and Ava…what would I write about????? lol… I had to run an errand into town just now and Laney, bless her, didn’t complain…even after we had just gotten home and had to turn right around again and head back in to town cause I had forgotten. And so here is the said conversation…
“Mom, do I have to go inside with you?”
“Yes, Laney, you do.”
“I can’t stay out in the car because you don’t want anyone to steal me, right?”
“That’s right Laney. Also, it is too hot and you would get really hot in the car.”
“And then I would die, right? Cause if you get too hot you could die.”
“Yes.”
“But I don’t want to die!!! I want to turn 6 in three months!!!” and she said this half silly and half serious…dramatic is what we call it in our house. ;D
I had to cover my mouth and stifle the laugh and I was also brought to tears…even though she couldn’t see me cause I was driving I didn’t want her to misinterpret my laughing and I just thought it was so darn precious!
“Mom, can I please not die so I can turn 6!?”
“Laney, you are not going to die cause you are going inside with me and you won’t get too hot.”
“Good. Cause I want to have my birthday and turn 6.”
“That sounds like a good plan.”
