What do you do when you get a creative block? I can’t be the only one who gets them. I’ve mentioned mine before on this blog. I’ve talked about the different ways I’ve found to help get over these blocks. Sometimes doing nothing and taking a break is the best idea but lately I just can’t stop my mind from racing but when I sit down at my computer I can’t channel my brain correctly.
One of the things I return to is something I’ve done since I was a kid. It may seem simple and child-like but it works! Coloring. It is simple, easy, no thinking involved…but something about it is still creative to me and always helps me out of a slump and makes me feel like I’m doing something constructively towards art.
Today the girls and I did some coloring. It relaxed me. Later I was able to create. Imagine that. ;D

This evening we went for a walk at a new place Corey discovered while bike riding the other morning. I grabbed the point-and-shoot. I was being lazy. I didn’t think it was going to be so beautiful. I was wrong. There was really only one thing I wanted to capture. I’m sorry Wendy (he he), but it was just how green the grass was and just how many different species of grass there were. This all just seems to be due to the rain. I am reveling in it because this is very unusual for us here. For a person who grew up on the east coast who is used to green everything…this summer here is just wonderful!
