When we went ice skating this weekend Laney was having a tough time at first. She wants so much to keep up with her sister in every way…but sometimes it just doesn’t happen. Skating was one of those times. Ava has been rollerblading quite well for some time now and that was totally what she needed to make the transition to skating. She was zooming! I don’t blame Laney for wanting to be out there with Ava…I’d LOVE to be able to skate. ;D For awhile Laney watched from the sidelines…crying and pouting. When she gets like that we do all we can to encourage her but it really takes HER to change her attitude and mind. She usually does…the older she gets the quicker she comes out of it. I have NO idea where she gets her negative attitude…whistle…looking around. ;D
I was editing the photos today. Laney was home sick from school and saw that I had taken photos of her when she was in that mood…pouting, crying and staring at the ice. She didn’t know that I had taken photos of her in that state. She didn’t like it. She was mad at me and said so. I was trying to explain to her that I was trying to capture all her emotions and showed her the photos of her later out on the ice…and her happy smiling face. But she was embarrassed and said I wasn’t nice. Maybe I wouldn’t want someone to scrap my emotions like this…I don’t know. I guess I just want to let the kids know as much about them and the events in their lives as possible. So here’s the layout…
