I cannot believe I’m making this post.  I got into Candice Stringham’s Oh Shoot! class over at jessicasprague.comI was not expecting it at all! I was on the site the other day and it had the reminder about it so I set an alarm and got all ready and somehow I got in!  This class filled up in 30 minutes this time around.  I was just on the forums over at jessicasprague.com and of course some are elated and some are very unhappy.  Understandable.  Jessica had a nice post on the forum (over at jessicasprague.com just click on forums) with a great explanation of why this class fills up so quickly vs. some of the other classes.  It mostly has to do with the fact that this class has personal feedback from the instructor on every single piece of work that gets posted whereas the other classes don’t.  In the other classes if your project looks like the assignment you know you’re good.  So her point was…can you imagine commenting on hundreds and hundreds of students’ work?  It just won’t work for a class like this.  So they limit the size…thus making it harder to get into.

Anyhoo…I’m thrilled that my photo taking skills will (hopefully…he he) be taken to the next level!  Class starts March 2nd.  Hey, Honey, consider this your birthday present to me. ;D

Jen, I am glad you got in! My advice to you is stick with the class and keep up with the assignments. I never did and did not get much from the class. This was my fault and not Jess or Candice’s!

For anyone that did not get in, Clickin Moms is a great place to learn all things photography! I have learned a ton there!

I’ve taken a few photography classes and this was by far the best I took!!! Week three was my aha! moment. I got aperture and shutter priority, but using them together in manual to achieve proper exposure was what I was looking to learn and I did! You will love it!
